Training

All pharmacy managers must designate one individual in the pharmacy to be the Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator. All QI Coordinators are required to obtain training through USask - CPE's COMPASS Online Training course within six months of taking over as the QI Coordinator. The QI Coordinator will then train the rest of the pharmacy staff. Please see the Checklist for CQI Coordinator for Training Other Staff.

  • COMPASS Continuous Quality Improvement Coordinator Training: Open for registration at USask Continuing Pharmacy Education (USask - CPE). The training provides an overview of COMPASS and SCPP bylaw requirements and is mandatory for all new and returning CQI Coordinators.
  • COMPASS Continuous Quality Improvement Coordinator Supplementary Training: This course is mandatory for all current CQI Coordinators who have completed the previous COMPASS training prior to Sept. 18, 2023. This course was designed as a response to gaps identified within community pharmacies since the implementation of the COMPASS program. This must be completed on or before April 30, 2024.

Please visit USask - CPE to register for the COMPASS Continuous Quality Improvement Coordinator Training course.
