SCPP Membership Renewal

Annual Membership Renewal Guidelines

Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP) members must renew their memberships annually. During mid-to-end of April, an informational advisory will be emailed to current members of the SCPP, advising of the procedures and requirements for membership renewal. DEADLINE:   Online application, fees, and requirements must be received by the SCPP office on or before June 1 of the renewal year or be subject to a late payment penalty fee .

The Membership Renewal Application Form is a web-based form available at the website through secure login to each member's portal page.  Members may retrieve their passwords by entering the required information into the " Forgot your login/password" box.

EXPIRY OF CURRENT MEMBERSHIP :  Memberships not renewed by June 30 will be cancelled. If you know that you will be cancelling your membership, please email the SCPP to advise at 

CONTINUING EDUCATION :  To meet the continuing competency/education requirements of the SCPP Regulatory Bylaws,  Practising members must have acquired and logged 15 CEUs between April 1 of the previous membership year and June 1 of the current year. For example, for the 2017-2018 membership year, acquire CEUs between April 1, 2016 and June 1, 2017. The paper log is not required to be submitted to SCPP - a declaration will be available in the online renewal application.  The Professional Development Log materials for the Saskatchewan Pharmacists Learning Portfolio is available on the website of the Continuing Professional Development for Pharmacy Professionals (CPDPP) unit through the CPDPP link at the SCPP website or at:

NON PRACTISING PHARMACISTS should also meet the CEU requirement in order to be able to convert more readily to a Practising membership at any time. Associate and Retired members need not meet the continuing competency requirement.

Pharmacists who are new U of S Graduates ARE REQUIRED to meet the continuing education requirement.  There is no grace period.

MALPRACTICE INSURANCE:   It is the responsibility of Practising members to meet the SCPP Regulatory Bylaw requirements for malpractice insurance . The insurance policy must be applicable to the membership year being applied for. The online application for renewal will include a Form 1 -Declaration of Acceptable Malpractice Insurance. Non Practising, Associate and Retired members are not required to hold malpractice insurance.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FEES Membership Renewal fees may be paid by MasterCard, Visa or Cheque - payable to the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals.  If paying by credit card during in the online application form, select PAY NOW; if paying by cheque, select INVOICE ME and mail the cheque and corresponding invoice to the SCPP office. 

  • Applications will only be approved upon receipt of all requirements and fees.
  • Licences, membership cards and receipts will be mailed out in May and June
