Language Proficiency Policy

SCPP Council has adopted the English language proficiency requirements outlined in the updated NAPRA Language Proficiency Requirement Policy (February 2024), with exceptions and clarifications specified in a new SCPP Language Proficiency Policy. Effective from September 1, 2024, language proficiency tests will adhere to NAPRA's guidelines.

The new SCPP Language Proficiency Policy acknowledges Council's adoption of NAPRA's policy and aligns with the requirements of the Labour Mobility and Fair Registration Practices Act and its Regulations, providing pathways for demonstrating English proficiency for applicants registered with other Canadian pharmacy regulatory authorities.
