Intern Registration for Pharmacy Technicians
Who is required to be an intern with SCPP?
In Province?
Every person wishing to become an intern must make an application to the Registrar on the online prescribed form accompanied by:
- character references from two reputable citizens of the community who are not family members, and who have known you for at least two years, certifying that the applicant is of good moral character;
- information establishing the character and suitability to practise of the applicant, including a criminal record check (CRC)*;
- the applicable prescribed registration fee(s); and
- an enrolment verification from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
*Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the College have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that allows the College to accept the CRC students must complete prior to enrollment. The MOU extends until the end of the internship.
Out of Province Students

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Students
All students registered in the Pharmacy Technician program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic are required to register as an intern with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP), the regulatory body of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies in Saskatchewan, before working in a pharmacy as an intern.
Online Registration
SCPP offers online registration through our website at www.saskpharm.ca. Students will receive an email from the SCPP email account (info@saskpharm.ca) at the appropriate time to inform them of their login credentials. All students are required to login shortly thereafter to complete the registration.
