Jurisprudence Exam

The Jurisprudence Examination  may be written at the office of the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals on the following days and times, providing they are available:

  • Monday – 1:30 pm
  • Tuesday to Thursday – 9:30 am or 1:30 pm

Appointments may be made by contacting SCPP at 306-584-2292 or at SCPPRegistration@saskpharm.ca

To prepare for the exam, candidates should be knowledgeable and understand the application of all legislation, practice standards, guidelines, and joint statements relevant to the practice of pharmacy in the province of Saskatchewan.

A successful Jurisprudence Examination result expires after three years for those who have not obtained a licence to practise.

Please read the documents in the Jurisprudence Exam Study Outline. Note that the guide may be adjusted as legislation changes. All changes can be reviewed on the SCPP website. The current Section 56 exemption is included as part of the exam.

Candidates are provided two hours to complete the multiple-choice exam and will receive their pass/fail result immediately after completing the exam.

All University of Saskatchewan graduates who wish to practise in Saskatchewan must complete the Jurisprudence Exam after they convocate and prior to registration and licensure with SCPP. Details will be sent to graduates in March/April of their final academic year.
